Le Jardin Féerique is the fInal mouvement of the quattre-mains Ma Mère L’Oye by French composer Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) written between 1908 and 1910 with the subtitel Cinque Pièces Enfantines or Five Children’s Pieces . The next year, in 1911, Ravel orchestrated the work as a Suite de Concert and in 1912 as Suite de Ballet. This arrangement for Brass Band is based on both the piano version and the orchestral version. I tried to convey the magical atmosphere and child-like fantasy Ravel so masterfully attained in Le Jardin Féerique.
